Los Angeles Botanic Garden and Arboretum

Flora

Nestled in the rolling hills of Arcadia, California lies the LA County Arboretum and Botanic Garden. Spanning 127 acres, the grounds are broken up into gardens representing floral from several geographic regions: Mediterranean, South American, South African, Australian, and Asian plants to name a few. As a lover of botanic gardens, this sanctuary was like a sampler platter, but with entrées in lieu of appetizers.

When I visited, the weather was quite fair for a meandering in the park. Having been on the road for 8+ hours a day for almost a week, I welcomed the respite that relaxing in a botanic garden brings.
